France in Brief - Driving in France - History of France
In the north there is St Malo which is one of the most visited towns on the Emerald Coast. Famed for its walled city and narrow, winding streets which take you to small friendly bars, cafes and shops. While not a huge town it offers a charming, old-fashioned feel.
Cannes - not just for film stars - but it feels like you should be one when you go there. The beaches and every other location in Cannes seem targeted to sun worship and making sure that you get seen. In complete contrast there is the city of Arles where a century ago, Van Gogh spent much of his time creating his masterpieces.
Apart from the modern trappings within peoples houses not a lot appears to have changed with the passing of time and the landscape is still one consisting of olive groves and limestone hills carpeted with vineyards.
